15th CHAMPIONSHIP
 FOR CHASEHILL LITTLE BUD;
RUNNER UP
 IS CHASEHILL
 BENJAMIN FRANKLIN

Add another championship to Chasehill Little Bud's string and it will now total 15. (He's got 14 runnerup championships, too, if you're counting.)

Bud, owned, trained and handled by John Stolgitis of Ashaway, RI, earned his latest championship during the weekend of Sept. 28 in Frankfort, Maine at the Northeastern Grouse & Woodcock Championship. The championship was hosted by the Mid-Coast Maine Field Trial Club. Runnerup honors went to Chasehill Benjamin Franklin, owned and handled by Mike Flewelling of Holden, Maine.

According to Joe Dahl, "Bud [running in the first brace on Saturday morning] ran a wide race with a woodcock find. Franklin [running in the third brace on Friday] carded four grouse finds and a woodcock find. [Judges]  Joe McCarl and Steve Groy held up well for two old-timers. Lots of birds on all courses." Reporter/photographer was Chris Mathan. Twenty-one dogs were entered in the weekend event.
