Cleanup at Flaherty

FOR STORM CLEANUP

EAST WINDSOR, Conn. - Flaherty Field Trial Area will be temporarily closed Monday through Thursday, Jan. 30-Feb. 2, 2012, to clear the grounds of all downed and hanging trees caused by the two major storms this past fall. The cleanup is being funded by part of a $5 million FEMA grant given to the State of Connecticut for storm restoration. The cost of the Flaherty cleanup project is estimated to be more than $135,000.

2012 SNE Woodcock Championship

 TO KICK OFF  FIELD TRIAL
 SEASON IN NEW ENGLAND
 ON MARCH 22


EXETER, RI - The Southern New England Woodcock Championship will begin on Thursday, March 22, 2012, and run to conclusion at Arcadia Managment Area.

Judges for this year's renewal will be Tony  Bly, of Milan, NH, and Mike Best, of Saint Johns, New Brunswick. Joe Dahl, of Bangor Maine, has agreed to report the trial.

The Joel Collier Derby Classic will kick off the weekend's running at the John A. Stolgitis Field Trial Area at Arcadia. Judges will be Chris Palmer, of Exeter RI, and Bill Bonnetti, of Plymouth, Mass.

Lunch and dinner will be provided for all participants during the trial.
