Exeter, RI - Chasehill Little Bud, pointer male owned by John Stolgitis of Rhode Island, and handled by Mike Flewelling of Maine, was named champion from a field of 28 at the Region 1 Amateur Walking Shooting Dog Championship finishing up this afternoon (April 11, 2010) at Arcadia Management Area. Bud had five finds and his usual stellar race.

Runner-up honors went to Bluebell Sue Z, a spritely white and orange setter female, owned and handled by Bo Mamounis of Newfield, N.J. Sue Z had two finds, one stop-to-flush and one unproductive during her hour.

Honorable mention went to Frank Skut's setter male, Stokely's Yankie Boy.

Judges were Mitch Swierczynski of Griswold, CT, and Jim Isperduli of Paxton, Mass. Chairman was Richard Giuliano of Hope, RI.
