North American Woodcock Championship, Futurity

 WINNERS ANNOUNCED

14th Championship

NEW BRUNSWICK, Canada -- Chasehill Little Bud, a pointer male owned and handled by John Stolgitis, was named winner at the 2012 North American Woodcock Championship held at Cronk Hill Farm in New Brunswick, Canada. 

This is the 14th championship for this talented pointer. On the way to his win, he he logged five impressive finds, three on grouse, two on woodcock. 

Runner-up champion, fresh off her win at the Maritime Open Grouse Classic, was Magic Mist Bandit, a setter female owned and handled by Joe Dahl.

Bud and Bandit were paired in the last brace of the championship and ran during a severe thunderstorm, not missing a beat or a bird on their way to first and second place. Twenty-two dogs were entered in the event hosted by the Maritime Bird Club, headed up by Dave Palmer and Bob Little.

Judges were Tony Bly and Craig Doherty.
