EAST WINDSOR, Conn. -- Chasehill Baby Bella, a pointer female owned by Erin Stolgitis, handled by John Malone and scouted by Aidan Malone, defeated a field of 20 dogs to win the 2016 Region 1/AFTCA Amateur All-Age Championship. The event was held Sunday and Monday, May 29-30, in hot, humid conditions at Flaherty Field Trial Area.
Runnerup was last year's winner, SF Bandwagon, 3-year-old pointer male, owned and handled by Larry Smith, and scouted by John Malone.
Judges were Alene LeVasseur of Lebanon, Conn., and Tom Tracy of Lebanon, Conn. Championship chairman was John Malone.
