EXETER, RI -- Topping a field of 44 dogs in the 2016 running of the Southern New England Woodcock Championship, was Chasehill Baby Bella, a pointer female handled by John Stolgitis. Runnerup was Rockland Ridge McGraw, a setter female owned by Gary Chlapaty, scouted by Mike Spotts, and handled by Robert Ecker.
The event ran for three days through the woodcock cover at Arcadia Management Area. Birdwork was said to have been plentiful.
Judges for the event were Tim Cavanaugh of East Hampton, Conn., and Bill Bonnetti of Marstons Mills, Mass.
