OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP
Runnerup is Miller's Vanilla Snow
POMFRET, Conn. -- Great River Ice was named champion at the 86th annual New England Open Championship held Oct. 10-12, 2014, at Ragged Hill Farm. Ice is owned by Brian Sanchez and handled by Mike Tracy. Runnerup was Miller's Vanilla Snow, owned by Tommy and Bonnie Hamilton and handled by George Tracy. Twenty-six pointers and setters were entered in the three-day event.
Judges were Tony Gibson of Union Springs, Ala., and Elias Richardson of Uxbridge, Mass. Chairmen were Dick Bembenek and Janice Gregory.
