GREAT RIVER MAGNUM WINS 2012 REGION 1 AMATEUR ALL-AGE CHAMPIONSHIP
RUNNERUP IS CHASEHILL LITTLE BUD
EAST WINDSOR, Conn. -- Great River Magnum, a pointer male owned and handled by Brian Sanchez of Central Islip, NY, was named champion at the 2012 Region 1/AFTCA Amateur All-Age Championship held Oct. 13-14, 2012 at Flaherty Field Trial Area. Magnum had six finds and a race that stretched the limits of the course.
Runnerup was Chasehill Little Bud, a pointer male owned by John Stolgitis and handled by Elias Richardson. Bud also had six finds and hit the course hard. Judges said the difference between the two top dogs was slight and based only on their races. Honorable mention went to Calico's Touch of Class, a pointer female handled by Tiffany Henderson; Erin's Stone Cutter, a pointer male handled by Kevin Stuart; Richfield Silver Belle, a pointer female handled by Bill McNamee, and High Drive Casey, a pointer male also handled by Brian Sanchez. Saturday night's cocktail party was hosted by Claudia and Bill McNamee, owners of 2011 Champion Richfield Silver Belle, handled by Bill McNamee. Judges were Jim Isperduli of Paxton, Mass., and Jason Smit of Montgomery, NY. Field trial chairman was Richard Giuliano. |
