RUNNER-UP IS SUGARKNOLL WARPAINT

EAST WINDSOR, Conn. -- Champion Calico's Cowboy Casanova, owned by Calico Kennels, Alex and Tiffani Smith, and Bill and Muriel Primm, and handled by Mike Tracy, was named champion at the New England Open Championship held Oct. 17-19. 2016 at Flaherty Field Trial Area. ; Runner-Up Ch. Sugarknoll Warpaint, owned by Allen Linder and Pete DelCollo, and handled by George Tracy. 

As the winning handler, Mike was also presented with the $500 Harry Townshend Award for the fifth time out of the six years the award has been in existence.

Judges were Audra Jaconetti and  Pat Casey.

EAST WINDSOR, Conn. -- Calico's Cowboy Casanova, owned by Calico Kennels, Alex and Tiffani Smith and Bill and Muriel Primm, and handled by Alex Smith, has been named winner of the Region 1 Amateur Shooting Dog Championship held Oct. 15-16, 2016, at Flaherty Field Trial Area. Alex Smith won the event last year with Calico's Touch of Class. 

Last year's runner-up Sugarknoll Warpaint repeated his runner-up win this this year. He is owned by Allen Linder and Pete Del Collo and handled by Brian Sanchez. 

24 dogs were drawn for the event. Judges were Pat Casey of South Hill, Va., and Mitch Swierczynski of Griswold, Conn.
